The goal of the Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN), funded by HRSA, is to help health centers use technology and data to improve the quality of care they provide and improve health outcomes. CHCACT’s HCCN program provides opportunities for collaboration among members across the health information technology (HIT) continuum–from hosting IT Leadership meetings to small EHR work groups focused on maximizing technology to optimize workflow. CHCACT participates in the state HIE council to represent the health center voice.

The HCCN also supports the development of a centralized data warehouse, DataCision, to normalize and aggregate clinical encounter data across the network. The robust data set is used for analysis and to support data-driven decision making. The HCCN has designed and is in the process of implementing a Medicaid claims database to complement the clinical encounter information.
